Responsibilities
- Monitor and analyze security alerts using SIEM platforms (e.g., Splunk, QRadar) to detect potential threats
- Investigate security incidents, document findings, and coordinate remediation efforts
- Conduct vulnerability assessments and penetration testing on network systems
- Develop and maintain security documentation, including incident response plans and policies
- Collaborate with IT teams to implement security controls and ensure compliance with regulations
- Stay current on emerging threats and security technologies through continuous research
- Participate in security awareness training and awareness campaigns
Qualifications
- 3+ years of cybersecurity experience with focus on threat detection and incident response
- Proficiency in SIEM tools, firewalls, and intrusion detection/prevention systems
- CompTIA Security+, CEH, or CISSP certification (or equivalent)
- Strong analytical skills with ability to interpret complex security data
- Familiarity with NIST frameworks and regulatory compliance standards
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
- Valid driver's license and reliable transportation for occasional on-site visits
