Responsibilities
- Monitor and analyze security alerts using SIEM tools (Splunk, QRadar)
- Conduct vulnerability assessments and penetration testing on network systems
- Investigate security incidents and prepare detailed forensic reports
- Implement and maintain firewall configurations and intrusion detection systems
- Develop security documentation and incident response procedures
- Collaborate with IT teams to ensure compliance with NIST and CIS standards
- Provide security awareness training to staff members
Qualifications
- Associate's degree in Cybersecurity or IT-related field (or equivalent experience)
- CompTIA Security+ or CEH certification preferred
- 1+ years of hands-on security monitoring or SOC experience
- Proficiency in network security tools (Wireshark, Nmap)
- Strong understanding of TCP/IP protocols and network architectures
- Experience with Windows/Linux system administration
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
- Valid driver's license and reliable transportation
