Responsibilities
- Monitor security alerts and events using SIEM tools (e.g., Splunk, QRadar) to identify potential threats.
- Conduct vulnerability assessments and penetration testing to ensure system integrity.
- Implement and manage firewall rules and network security configurations.
- Investigate security incidents, analyze logs, and respond to breaches in a timely manner.
- Assist in compliance audits (SOC2, HIPAA, PCI-DSS) and generate required reporting.
- Collaborate with IT teams to patch vulnerabilities and strengthen infrastructure.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Cybersecurity, Information Technology, or related field.
- Relevant certifications such as CompTIA Security+, CISSP, or CEH are highly preferred.
- Experience with network protocols, firewalls, and IDS/IPS systems.
- Strong understanding of encryption standards and secure coding practices.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work independently in a part-time capacity.
