Responsibilities
- Monitor SIEM platforms (Splunk, QRadar) for security anomalies and investigate potential threats
- Conduct vulnerability assessments and penetration testing on network infrastructure
- Document security incidents using NIST frameworks and provide detailed forensic analysis
- Implement firewall rules, IDS/IPS configurations, and endpoint protection measures
- Collaborate with IT teams to develop security policies and incident response plans
- Stay current on emerging threats through threat intelligence feeds and security research
Qualifications
- Associate's degree in Cybersecurity or IT-related field (Bachelor's preferred)
- 2+ years of hands-on security operations experience
- CompTIA Security+/CEH or equivalent certification required
- Proficiency in network protocols (TCP/IP, DNS, HTTP) and security tools (Wireshark, Metasploit)
- Experience with cloud security (AWS/Azure) and compliance frameworks (HIPAA, PCI-DSS)
- Strong analytical skills with ability to prioritize threats in real-time
- Excellent written communication for security reporting and documentation
