Responsibilities
- Monitor security information and event management (SIEM) systems for threat detection and incident response
- Conduct vulnerability assessments and penetration testing on network infrastructure
- Develop and maintain security documentation including policies, procedures, and playbooks
- Investigate security incidents using forensic tools and digital evidence analysis
- Collaborate with IT teams to implement security controls and best practices
- Generate comprehensive security reports for executive stakeholders
- Stay current with emerging threats and cybersecurity trends through continuous research
Qualifications
- Associate's degree in cybersecurity, IT, or related field (Bachelor's preferred)
- 2+ years of hands-on cybersecurity experience with SIEM tools (Splunk/QRadar)
- CompTIA Security+ or equivalent certification (CEH or CISSP a plus)
- Proficiency in network security protocols (TCP/IP, DNS, firewalls)
- Strong analytical skills with attention to detail in threat identification
- Experience with incident response frameworks (NIST SP 800-61)
- Ability to work independently while collaborating with cross-functional teams
- Valid U.S. driver's license for occasional on-site requirements
