Responsibilities
- Monitor security alerts and events in real-time using SIEM tools (Splunk, QRadar, or ArcSight).
- Conduct daily vulnerability assessments and periodic penetration testing exercises.
- Investigate and triage security incidents, including phishing attempts and malware analysis.
- Ensure compliance with industry standards such as NIST, HIPAA, and PCI-DSS.
- Document security findings and provide detailed reports to stakeholders and management.
- Assist in the development and refinement of internal security policies and incident response playbooks.
Qualifications
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in a Security Operations Center (SOC) or network security role.
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Security, or a related technical field (or equivalent experience).
- Active CISSP, CEH, Security+, or SANS GIAC certification is highly preferred.
- Strong knowledge of TCP/IP, DNS, HTTP, and common network protocols.
- Proficiency in scripting (Python or PowerShell) for automation and log analysis.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills for reporting security incidents.
