Responsibilities
- Monitor and analyze security alerts from SIEM systems (e.g., Splunk, QRadar) to identify potential threats in real-time.
- Conduct thorough incident investigations and provide detailed forensic analysis of security breaches.
- Perform regular vulnerability assessments and penetration testing to identify system weaknesses.
- Enforce security policies and compliance standards, ensuring adherence to HIPAA and GDPR regulations.
- Collaborate with the full-time security team to develop and update incident response playbooks.
- Provide technical guidance and training to junior staff on security best practices and tools.
Qualifications
- Hold a valid CISSP, CEH, or CompTIA Security+ certification.
- Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in a SOC (Security Operations Center) environment.
- Proficiency with network security tools such as Firewalls, IDS/IPS, and VPNs.
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex log data and trends.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills for reporting findings to stakeholders.
- Ability to work independently in a remote or hybrid setting with minimal supervision.
