Responsibilities
- Design and implement scalable microservices using Java/Python in cloud environments (AWS/GCP)
- Lead 24/7 system monitoring and incident response during overnight shifts
- Collaborate with global teams via agile methodologies using JIRA/Confluence
- Develop CI/CD pipelines for automated testing and deployment
- Conduct security audits and vulnerability assessments for high-stakes applications
- Mentor junior engineers through pair programming and code reviews
Qualifications
- 5+ years experience in backend development with Java/Python
- Expertise in cloud-native architectures (Kubernetes, Docker)
- CI/CD proficiency with Jenkins/GitLab CI
- Active Secret or Top Secret clearance preferred
- Overnight shift availability (10 PM - 6 AM EST)
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or equivalent experience
- Strong problem-solving skills with debugging complex distributed systems
