Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and maintain distributed systems supporting 24/7 global operations
- Implement CI/CD pipelines and automation for night shift deployment workflows
- Troubleshoot and resolve complex production issues during off-peak hours
- Optimize system performance and scalability for high-traffic scenarios
- Collaborate with APAC and EMEA engineering teams on cross-continental projects
- Document system architecture and contribute to engineering best practices
- Mentor junior engineers through rotational on-call support programs
Qualifications
- 5+ years of experience with distributed systems and microservices architecture
- Proficiency in at least one modern language (Python, Go, Java, or Rust)
- Expertise with AWS/GCP cloud infrastructure and container orchestration (Kubernetes)
- Proven experience with 24/7 production environments and incident response
- Strong understanding of database systems (PostgreSQL, MongoDB, Redis)
- Excellent problem-solving skills for high-pressure scenarios
- Ability to work independently and collaborate across global time zones
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or equivalent practical experience
