Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and maintain high-performance microservices using Java and Python
- Lead cross-functional sprints with teams across Oklahoma and Florida offices
- Implement CI/CD pipelines and infrastructure-as-code solutions (AWS/GCP)
- Mentor junior engineers through our peer review system and knowledge-sharing sessions
- Optimize database queries and system architecture for 99.99% uptime SLAs
- Contribute to open-source projects aligned with company innovation goals
- Participate in agile ceremonies during evening hours (6 PM - 2 AM CST)
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or equivalent experience
- 5+ years of production software development experience
- Expertise in cloud platforms (AWS/GCP) and container orchestration (Kubernetes)
- Strong background in distributed systems and event-driven architecture
- Proficiency with version control (Git) and DevOps practices
- Experience mentoring engineers in remote/hybrid environments
- Ability to work independently during night shift hours with minimal oversight
