Responsibilities
- Architect and Maintain: Design, develop, and maintain robust backend services and APIs that power our core platform, ensuring 99.99% uptime.
- System Monitoring: Proactively monitor system health, performance metrics, and logs during the night shift to identify and resolve anomalies before they impact users.
- Critical Support: Respond to and resolve critical technical incidents and tickets, collaborating with the day-shift team to ensure seamless handovers.
- Optimization: Optimize database queries, reduce latency, and refactor legacy code to improve system efficiency and scalability.
- Security: Implement and enforce security best practices, conducting vulnerability assessments and penetration testing on deployed systems.
- Innovation: Participate in code reviews, technical architecture discussions, and the implementation of new features to drive product growth.
Qualifications
- Experience: 5+ years of professional software development experience, with a focus on backend technologies (Java, Go, or Python).
- Availability: Must be available to work night shifts (e.g., 10:00 PM - 6:00 AM) on a full-time basis.
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related technical field.
- Technical Skills: Proficiency in cloud platforms (AWS/Azure), containerization (Docker/Kubernetes), and message queues (Kafka/RabbitMQ).
- Problem Solving: Strong analytical and debugging skills with the ability to troubleshoot complex issues under pressure.
- Communication: Excellent written and verbal communication skills, capable of documenting technical processes clearly.
