Responsibilities
- Data Extraction & Cleaning: Collect, clean, and transform raw data from various sources (SQL databases, APIs, spreadsheets) to ensure high-quality datasets for analysis.
- Performance Monitoring: Analyze night-time operational metrics and KPIs to identify trends, anomalies, and opportunities for process improvement.
- Reporting: Create comprehensive, visually appealing dashboards and reports using Tableau and Power BI to communicate findings to the senior management team.
- Database Management: Maintain and optimize existing databases, writing complex SQL queries to retrieve and manipulate data efficiently.
- Collaboration: Partner with the day-shift teams to align on data strategies and ensure a seamless handover of analytical insights.
- Quality Assurance: Implement data validation procedures to minimize errors and ensure 100% data accuracy across all reporting.
- Forecasting: Utilize historical data to build predictive models that assist in inventory management and resource planning.
Qualifications
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Statistics, Mathematics, Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field.
- Experience: Minimum of 2-3 years of professional experience in data analysis, preferably within a fast-paced corporate environment.
- Technical Skills: Proficiency in SQL (advanced querying), Python or R for data manipulation, and Excel (VLOOKUP, PivotTables, Macros).
- Visualization Tools: Strong command of data visualization tools such as Tableau or Power BI.
- Attention to Detail: Exceptional analytical skills with a keen eye for detail and accuracy.
- Communication: Ability to translate complex data findings into clear, concise, and actionable recommendations for non-technical stakeholders.
- Availability: Must be available to work the Night Shift (typically 10:00 PM - 6:00 AM or similar schedule).
