Role Overview:
As a Network Technician, you will be responsible for the design, implementation, maintenance, and troubleshooting of network systems. We are looking for someone who can work independently as well as part of a team to ensure 99.9% uptime for our clients.
Responsibilities
- Install, configure, and troubleshoot Local Area Networks (LAN), Wide Area Networks (WAN), and wireless networks.
- Perform routine maintenance, upgrades, and patching on routers, switches, firewalls, and cabling infrastructure.
- Diagnose and resolve complex network connectivity issues and hardware failures with minimal downtime.
- Conduct network audits and implement security protocols to protect sensitive data.
- Document network configurations, changes, and troubleshooting procedures for future reference.
- Collaborate with system administrators to ensure seamless integration of new technologies.
- Provide technical support and training to junior staff and end-users.
Qualifications
- Associate degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.
- Certification such as CompTIA Network+ or Cisco CCNA is highly preferred.
- Minimum of 2-3 years of hands-on experience in network administration or technical support.
- Strong knowledge of TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, VPN, and routing protocols.
- Experience with structured cabling (Cat6, Fiber optics) and testing equipment.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to work under pressure.
- Valid driver's license and ability to travel to client sites.
