Responsibilities
- Install, configure, and maintain: LAN, WAN, and wireless network hardware and software systems.
- Troubleshoot: Diagnose and resolve network connectivity issues, hardware failures, and performance bottlenecks efficiently.
- Cabling & Infrastructure: Perform structured cabling, fiber termination, and rack and stack server installations.
- Security: Assist in implementing and monitoring network security protocols, firewalls, and access controls.
- Documentation: Maintain accurate records of network configurations, diagrams, and change logs.
- Support: Provide Tier 2 technical support to internal users and clients regarding network issues.
- Upgrades: Participate in network upgrades and migration projects to ensure modernization.
Qualifications
- Education: Associate degree or certificate in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
- Experience: 2+ years of professional experience in network administration or technical support.
- Certifications: CompTIA Network+ or CCNA certification is highly preferred.
- Technical Skills: Proficiency with TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, routing protocols (OSPF, BGP), and VPNs.
- License: Valid Driver's License and clean driving record (for occasional on-site travel).
- Soft Skills: Strong problem-solving abilities and excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Tools: Experience with network monitoring tools (e.g., SolarWinds, Wireshark) is a plus.
