As a Network Technician, you will play a critical role in maintaining our robust network infrastructure, supporting internal stakeholders, and ensuring business continuity.
Responsibilities
- Design, install, configure, and maintain local area networks (LANs) and wide area networks (WANs).
- Perform routine network maintenance and upgrades to ensure optimal system performance.
- Diagnose and resolve complex network connectivity issues, hardware failures, and software conflicts.
- Manage and document network cabling infrastructure, including fiber and copper termination.
- Monitor network traffic and security protocols to prevent unauthorized access and data breaches.
- Collaborate with the IT team to implement new network solutions and disaster recovery plans.
- Conduct regular audits of network hardware and software inventory.
Qualifications
- Associate’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field (or equivalent professional experience).
- Valid certification such as CompTIA Network+, CCNA, or similar is highly preferred.
- Minimum of 3-5 years of hands-on experience in network administration or technical support.
- Strong knowledge of TCP/IP, routing, switching, and subnetting.
- Proficiency with network diagnostic tools and troubleshooting software.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently under pressure.
- Physical ability to lift equipment and work in tight spaces or elevated areas (attics, ceilings).
