The Role:
As a Network Technician, you will be responsible for the installation, configuration, maintenance, and troubleshooting of our network systems. You will ensure high availability and performance of our network services while supporting internal and external stakeholders.
Responsibilities
- Install, configure, and troubleshoot network hardware and cabling infrastructure.
- Monitor network performance to ensure optimal uptime and security.
- Perform routine maintenance and upgrades on routers, switches, and firewalls.
- Respond to and resolve network outages and service tickets efficiently.
- Document network configurations, changes, and procedures accurately.
- Collaborate with the IT team to implement new network solutions and technologies.
- Conduct network audits and capacity planning to support business growth.
Qualifications
- Associate’s degree or higher in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
- Cisco Certified Network Associate (CCNA) certification preferred.
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in network administration or technical support.
- Strong knowledge of TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, VLANs, and routing protocols.
- Proficiency with network diagnostic tools and packet sniffers.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to lift and carry equipment weighing up to 50 lbs as needed.
