Responsibilities
- Install, configure, and maintain local area networks (LANs) and wide area networks (WANs).
- Perform routine network audits and preventative maintenance to ensure system reliability.
- Troubleshoot and resolve complex network connectivity issues and hardware failures.
- Document all network configurations, changes, and maintenance logs.
- Assist in cabling projects, including termination of fiber and copper cabling.
- Monitor network performance metrics and alert management of potential issues.
- Collaborate with the IT operations team to implement network security protocols.
Qualifications
- Associate degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or equivalent technical certification.
- Cisco Certified Network Associate (CCNA) preferred.
- Strong working knowledge of TCP/IP, OSI model, and routing protocols (OSPF, BGP, EIGRP).
- Experience with network diagnostic tools and equipment.
- Ability to lift and carry networking equipment weighing up to 50 lbs.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
