Responsibilities

  • Install, configure, and troubleshoot network hardware including routers, switches, firewalls, and wireless access points.
  • Perform physical cabling tasks, including fiber and copper termination, and manage cable management systems.
  • Monitor network performance and analyze traffic to identify and resolve potential issues proactively.
  • Document network configurations, diagrams, and changes to ensure accurate knowledge base maintenance.
  • Respond to and resolve Help Desk tickets related to network connectivity and hardware failures.
  • Collaborate with vendors and third-party contractors to manage large-scale network upgrades and maintenance.
  • Ensure strict adherence to company security protocols and compliance standards.

Qualifications

  • Associate’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or equivalent military technical training.
  • Valid Cisco Certified Network Associate (CCNA) or CompTIA Network+ certification is highly preferred.
  • Minimum of 2-4 years of hands-on experience in network administration and infrastructure support.
  • Strong knowledge of TCP/IP, VLANs, routing protocols (OSPF, EIGRP, BGP), and switching technologies.
  • Experience with structured cabling standards (TIA/EIA) and fiber optic technology.
