Responsibilities
- Design, install, configure, and maintain local area networks (LAN) and wide area networks (WAN).
- Troubleshoot network connectivity issues, hardware failures, and software conflicts promptly.
- Implement and manage network security measures, including firewalls, VPNs, and access controls.
- Perform regular network audits, performance tuning, and system backups to ensure 99.9% uptime.
- Provide Tier 2 technical support and training to end-users regarding network usage and security best practices.
- Collaborate with system administrators to integrate new technologies and upgrade existing infrastructure.
Qualifications
- Associate’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related technical field.
- CompTIA Network+ or Cisco Certified Network Associate (CCNA) certification preferred.
- Minimum of 2-4 years of professional experience in network administration or technical support.
- Strong knowledge of TCP/IP, DHCP, DNS, VLANs, and routing protocols (OSPF, BGP).
- Proficiency in configuring routers, switches, and wireless access points.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to communicate complex technical concepts to non-technical staff.
