Responsibilities
- Install, configure, and troubleshoot local area network (LAN) and wide area network (WAN) hardware, including routers, switches, and firewalls.
- Monitor network performance to identify and resolve bottlenecks, latency issues, and connectivity failures.
- Respond to and prioritize help desk tickets related to network connectivity and hardware malfunctions.
- Document network architecture, configurations, and change logs in accordance with IT policies.
- Perform regular system backups and implement disaster recovery procedures to ensure data integrity.
- Collaborate with vendors and third-party contractors for network equipment maintenance and upgrades.
- Conduct security audits and implement necessary patches to protect the network from cyber threats.
Qualifications
- Associate degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or equivalent technical certification.
- Minimum of 2 years of professional experience in network administration or technical support.
- Cisco Certified Network Associate (CCNA) certification is strongly preferred.
- Deep knowledge of TCP/IP, DHCP, DNS, VLANs, and routing protocols (OSPF, BGP).
- Experience with VPN configurations and network security best practices.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to communicate technical information clearly to non-technical staff.
- Valid Driver's License and ability to travel to off-site locations if required.
