Responsibilities
- Install, configure, and maintain local area networks (LAN) and wide area networks (WAN).
- Monitor network performance, traffic, and security to ensure optimal uptime and reliability.
- Configure routers, switches, firewalls, and related networking hardware and software.
- Perform regular network audits, updates, and patch management to mitigate security risks.
- Troubleshoot and resolve network connectivity issues and hardware failures efficiently.
- Provide technical support and training to end-users regarding network usage and security best practices.
- Document network configurations, changes, and incidents in our IT management system.
Qualifications
- Associate degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field (or equivalent experience).
- CompTIA Network+ certification is highly preferred.
- Strong knowledge of TCP/IP, subnetting, routing protocols (OSPF, BGP), and VLANs.
- Experience with Cisco, Juniper, or similar networking hardware.
- Familiarity with network management tools and remote access technologies (VPN, RDP).
- Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently under pressure.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills for interacting with diverse teams.
