Responsibilities
- Install, configure, and troubleshoot network hardware, including routers, switches, firewalls, and access points.
- Maintain and upgrade network cabling infrastructure (fiber, Cat6, copper) to ensure optimal performance.
- Monitor network traffic and performance using tools like SolarWinds or Wireshark to identify and resolve bottlenecks.
- Perform regular security audits and patch management to protect against cyber threats.
- Provide technical support and training to end-users regarding network connectivity and hardware usage.
- Document network configurations, changes, and technical procedures to ensure knowledge continuity.
Qualifications
- Associate degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or equivalent work experience.
- Valid certifications such as CCNA, Network+, or CCNP are highly preferred.
- 2+ years of hands-on experience in network administration or system administration.
- Strong knowledge of TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, VLANs, and routing protocols.
- Experience with Cisco and/or Juniper networking equipment is required.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently under pressure.
