Responsibilities
- Design, implement, and maintain local area networks (LANs) and wide area networks (WANs) to ensure optimal performance.
- Configure and troubleshoot network hardware, including routers, switches, firewalls, and access points.
- Perform physical installation and termination of fiber and copper cabling (Cat6, Cat6a, fiber).
- Monitor network traffic and system logs to diagnose and resolve connectivity issues quickly.
- Document network architecture, configurations, and standard operating procedures.
- Collaborate with the IT support team to resolve escalated end-user technical issues.
- Conduct regular network audits and security assessments to protect against vulnerabilities.
Qualifications
- Certification: CompTIA Network+ or Cisco CCNA is highly preferred.
- Minimum of 2 years of professional experience in network administration or IT support.
- Strong working knowledge of TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, VLANs, and routing protocols.
- Hands-on experience with Cisco and/or Juniper networking equipment.
- Ability to work in various environments, including crawl spaces, attics, and server rooms.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to communicate complex technical concepts clearly.
