Responsibilities
- Installation & Configuration: Install, configure, and troubleshoot LAN/WAN networks, including routers, switches, and firewalls.
- Cabling & Infrastructure: Perform physical network cabling, termination (Cat6/Fiber), and rack-and-stack installations.
- Troubleshooting: Diagnose and resolve complex network connectivity issues, ensuring minimal downtime for clients.
- Documentation: Maintain accurate and up-to-date documentation of network configurations, diagrams, and change logs.
- Support: Provide technical support and training to end-users regarding network hardware and security settings.
- Audits: Conduct regular network audits and security checks to ensure compliance with industry standards.
Qualifications
- Education: Associate degree or certificate in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field (or equivalent experience).
- Certifications: Certification such as CCNA, CCNP, or CompTIA Network+ is highly preferred.
- Experience: Proven experience with network hardware installation and troubleshooting.
- Technical Skills: Strong understanding of TCP/IP, VLANs, routing protocols, and wireless technologies.
- Physical Requirements: Ability to lift equipment (up to 50 lbs), climb ladders, and work in various environments (attics, crawlspaces).
- Soft Skills: Excellent problem-solving skills and a customer service-oriented mindset.
