Responsibilities
- Install, configure, and troubleshoot network hardware, including routers, switches, firewalls, and access points.
- Perform structured cabling, termination, and rack-and-stack maintenance in data centers and server rooms.
- Conduct onsite network audits to ensure compliance with security protocols and performance standards.
- Provide technical support and training to end-users regarding network connectivity and troubleshooting.
- Manage inventory of network equipment and supplies to prevent downtime.
- Respond to and resolve network outages and service tickets with minimal downtime.
- Document all installations, changes, and maintenance activities accurately.
Qualifications
- Associate’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field (or equivalent military/technical experience).
- Certification such as CompTIA Network+, CCNA, or similar is strongly preferred.
- Minimum of 2-3 years of professional experience in network administration or technical support.
- Valid driver’s license and a clean driving record (company vehicle provided).
- Strong understanding of TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, and routing protocols.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently in various environments.
- Physical ability to lift equipment up to 50 lbs and work in tight spaces or elevated areas.
