Responsibilities
- Install, configure, and maintain network hardware including routers, switches, and firewalls
- Monitor network performance using diagnostic tools and proactively address issues
- Document network configurations, topologies, and incident reports
- Collaborate with IT teams to implement security protocols and compliance standards
- Provide technical support to end-users via ticket system and remote assistance
- Coordinate with vendors for equipment upgrades and maintenance contracts
- Conduct regular network audits to ensure optimal performance and security
Qualifications
- Associate degree in IT or related field (or equivalent experience)
- CompTIA Network+ or Cisco CCNA certification required
- 3+ years experience in network administration and troubleshooting
- Proficiency with network monitoring tools (SolarWinds, PRTG, etc.)
- Strong knowledge of TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, and VPN technologies
- Excellent problem-solving abilities and customer service skills
- Valid driver's license for occasional client site visits
- Ability to lift 25 lbs for equipment installation
