Responsibilities
- Assist in the installation, configuration, and maintenance of local area networks (LAN) and wide area networks (WAN).
- Perform physical cabling tasks, including running Cat6 cables, installing wall jacks, and cable management.
- Diagnose and resolve basic network connectivity issues and hardware malfunctions.
- Support junior staff and assist in documentation of network configurations and diagrams.
- Participate in scheduled maintenance windows to ensure system uptime and reliability.
- Conduct routine inspections of server rooms and network closets to ensure a safe and organized environment.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED required.
- Basic computer literacy and understanding of how the internet works.
- Strong desire to learn and obtain networking certifications (we support training).
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and stand for extended periods during installation.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Willingness to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends, as needed.
