Responsibilities
- Network Maintenance: Install, configure, and maintain local area network (LAN) and wide area network (WAN) hardware and software components.
- Troubleshooting: Diagnose and resolve network connectivity issues, performance bottlenecks, and hardware failures efficiently.
- Security Management: Implement and monitor security protocols to protect company data and prevent unauthorized access.
- Documentation: Maintain accurate records of network architecture, configurations, and changes.
- Support: Provide Tier 2 support to internal employees regarding network-related inquiries and issues.
- Upgrades: Plan and execute network upgrades and equipment replacements.
Qualifications
- Education: Associate’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or related field preferred.
- Experience: 2-5 years of experience in network administration or technical support.
- Certifications: Cisco CCNA, CompTIA Network+, or Microsoft Certified Professional (MCP) is a plus.
- Technical Skills: Proficiency in routing, switching, VLANs, and IP addressing.
- Software: Knowledge of VPNs, firewalls, and remote access technologies.
- Communication: Strong verbal and written communication skills with the ability to explain technical concepts to non-technical staff.
