Responsibilities
- Install, configure, and troubleshoot network hardware, including routers, switches, firewalls, and wireless access points.
- Monitor network performance and traffic to ensure optimal uptime and identify potential bottlenecks.
- Manage IP addressing, VLANs, and subnetting for secure and efficient data transfer.
- Provide Tier 2/3 technical support to internal staff and end-users regarding network connectivity issues.
- Perform regular network audits and maintenance to ensure security compliance and system integrity.
- Collaborate with senior engineers to implement network upgrades and disaster recovery plans.
Qualifications
- Associate degree or certificate in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.
- Valid CompTIA Network+ or CCNA certification preferred.
- Minimum of 2-3 years of hands-on experience in network administration and support.
- Strong knowledge of TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, routing, and switching protocols.
- Experience with Cisco or Juniper networking equipment.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
