Responsibilities
- Install, configure, and maintain local area networks (LANs), wide area networks (WANs), and network segments.
- Troubleshoot network issues and hardware failures to minimize downtime and restore service quickly.
- Perform cable management and fiber optic installation for both copper and wireless networks.
- Configure routers, switches, firewalls, and other networking hardware according to best practices.
- Monitor network performance and implement security protocols to protect against cyber threats.
- Document network diagrams and configurations for future reference and team collaboration.
- Collaborate with the IT support team to provide comprehensive technical solutions to end-users.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED is required; Associate’s degree in Computer Science or IT preferred.
- Cisco CCNA or Network+ certification is a strong plus.
- 1-3 years of experience in network administration or technical support.
- Deep knowledge of TCP/IP, subnetting, DNS, and DHCP protocols.
- Proficiency in troubleshooting hardware and software network issues.
- Strong attention to detail and excellent problem-solving skills.
- Ability to lift and carry equipment and work in various environments.
