Responsibilities
- Design, install, configure, and maintain local area networks (LAN) and wide area networks (WAN).
- Perform routine network audits, security checks, and preventative maintenance to ensure optimal performance.
- Diagnose and resolve network connectivity issues, hardware failures, and software conflicts.
- Manage network cabling infrastructure, including fiber optics and copper cabling.
- Monitor network traffic and usage to identify potential bottlenecks and security threats.
- Collaborate with the IT team to implement network upgrades and security protocols.
Qualifications
- Associate degree or Certificate in Network Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field.
- Valid Cisco CCNA or equivalent industry certification is highly preferred.
- Minimum of 2-4 years of experience in network administration or IT support.
- Strong working knowledge of TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, VPN, and routing protocols (OSPF, EIGRP).
- Familiarity with network security devices (firewalls, IDS/IPS) and access control systems.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently or as part of a team.
