We are looking for a detail-oriented and technically proficient Network Technician to join our growing IT team in Charlotte, NC. As a Network Technician, you will collaborate with senior engineers to implement network solutions, troubleshoot complex connectivity issues, and manage hardware inventory. Responsibilities
- Install, configure, and maintain Local Area Networks (LAN) and Wide Area Networks (WAN).
- Perform routine network audits, maintenance, and upgrades to ensure optimal performance.
- Troubleshoot network connectivity issues, hardware failures, and software conflicts.
- Configure firewalls, routers, and switches according to company security policies.
- Maintain accurate documentation of network diagrams, configurations, and change logs.
- Assist in the deployment of new hardware and network infrastructure projects.
- Provide Tier 2 technical support and guidance to internal staff regarding network-related inquiries.
Qualifications
- Associate degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.
- Cisco Certified Network Associate (CCNA) certification preferred.
- Minimum of 2-3 years of hands-on experience in network administration or technical support.
- Strong knowledge of TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, and subnetting.
- Proficiency with network monitoring tools and diagnostic software (e.g., Wireshark, SolarWinds).
- Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently or in a team environment.
- Valid driver’s license and clean driving record for occasional site visits.
