Responsibilities
- Network Maintenance: Install, configure, and maintain local area networks (LAN), wide area networks (WAN), and wireless networks to ensure optimal performance.
- Troubleshooting: Diagnose and resolve hardware and software network issues efficiently to minimize downtime.
- Security Management: Implement and monitor network security protocols, firewalls, and intrusion detection systems to protect company data.
- Documentation: Create and maintain detailed network diagrams, technical documentation, and change logs.
- Hardware Support: Manage the lifecycle of network hardware, including routers, switches, and cabling infrastructure.
- Performance Monitoring: Analyze network traffic and performance metrics to identify areas for improvement.
Qualifications
- Education: Associate degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field (or equivalent work experience).
- Certifications: CompTIA Network+ or Cisco CCNA is highly preferred.
- Experience: Proven experience in network administration and technical support.
- Technical Skills: Strong knowledge of TCP/IP, subnetting, VLANs, and routing protocols.
- Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills for interacting with clients and team members.
- Problem Solving: Ability to troubleshoot complex technical issues under pressure.
