  • Install, configure, and maintain Local Area Network (LAN), Wide Area Network (WAN), and wireless network hardware and cabling infrastructure.
  • Diagnose and resolve complex network connectivity issues, including hardware failures, software conflicts, and signal degradation.
  • Perform regular network audits, security assessments, and performance tuning to ensure optimal operation.
  • Assist in the deployment and management of Voice over IP (VoIP) systems and IP telephony devices.
  • Document network topology, configurations, and changes using standard IT documentation tools (e.g., Visio, SharePoint).
  • Respond to Tier 2 help desk tickets regarding network-related issues, providing timely and effective solutions.
  • Collaborate with vendors and third-party service providers for network upgrades, repairs, and installations.

Qualifications

  • Associate degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related technical field (or equivalent work experience).
  • Certification such as Cisco CCNA, CompTIA Network+, or CCENT is highly preferred.
  • Strong working knowledge of TCP/IP, DHCP, DNS, VLANs, routing protocols (OSPF, BGP), and switching technologies.
  • Proficiency with network diagnostic tools such as Wireshark, Ping, Traceroute, and protocol analyzers.
  • Experience configuring Cisco routers, switches, and firewalls.
  • Excellent troubleshooting skills and the ability to work independently or as part of a team.
  • Physical stamina to lift heavy equipment (up to 50 lbs) and work in confined spaces or outdoor locations for cabling projects.
