Responsibilities
- Install, configure, and maintain LAN/WAN hardware including routers, switches, and firewalls
- Monitor network performance using tools like SolarWinds and Wireshark
- Implement network security protocols including VPNs, firewalls, and intrusion detection
- Troubleshoot network issues and document solutions in ITSM systems
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams on cloud integration projects
- Perform regular network audits and capacity planning
- Train staff on network best practices and security protocols
Qualifications
- Associate's degree in IT/Network Engineering or equivalent experience
- 3+ years of hands-on network administration experience
- Cisco CCNA/Juniper JNCIA certification required
- Expert knowledge of TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, and VPN technologies
- Experience with network virtualization (VMware/NSX)
- Strong troubleshooting skills with network analyzers
- CompTIA Security+ certification preferred
- Ability to work flexible hours for maintenance windows
