Responsibilities
- Install, configure, and maintain LAN/WAN systems, routers, switches, and firewalls
- Monitor network performance using SolarWinds and Cisco tools to proactively resolve issues
- Provide Tier 2/3 technical support for network-related incidents via ticketing system
- Document network configurations, changes, and create SOPs for operational continuity
- Collaborate with cybersecurity team to implement VLAN segmentation and access controls
- Conduct site surveys for network infrastructure upgrades and capacity planning
- Train junior technicians on network protocols (TCP/IP, BGP, OSPF)
Qualifications
- Associate's degree in IT or related field (or equivalent experience)
- 3+ years enterprise network administration with Cisco/Juniper certification
- Proficiency in network monitoring tools (SolarWinds, Wireshark, PRTG)
- Experience with cloud networking (AWS VPC, Azure VNets) and SD-WAN solutions
- Strong troubleshooting skills for complex network outages and performance issues
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision in remote environment
- Valid NYS driver's license for occasional on-site visits
- CompTIA Network+ or equivalent certification required
