Responsibilities
- Install, configure, and maintain network hardware including routers, switches, firewalls, and wireless access points
- Monitor network performance using diagnostic tools and proactively address security vulnerabilities
- Document network topology, configurations, and incident reports using ITSM platforms
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deploy cloud solutions and hybrid infrastructure
- Provide Tier 2/3 technical support for network-related user issues and system outages
- Implement network automation scripts to streamline operational efficiency
- Conduct regular network audits and ensure compliance with industry standards (NIST, ISO)
Qualifications
- Associate's degree in Network Engineering or related field (or equivalent experience)
- 3+ years of hands-on experience with Cisco/Juniper routing/switching
- CCNA/CCNP or CompTIA Network+ certification required
- Proficiency in network protocols: TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, VPN, and VLANs
- Experience with network monitoring tools (SolarWinds, PRTG, or Nagios)
- Strong troubleshooting skills with OSI model understanding
- Knowledge of cloud networking (AWS/Azure) and SD-WAN technologies
- Excellent communication skills and ability to document technical processes
