As a Prompt Engineer at Apex, you will bridge the gap between complex AI models and real-world business applications, ensuring our clients receive accurate, safe, and effective outputs.
Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and refine complex prompts to optimize Large Language Model (LLM) performance for diverse use cases.
- Conduct A/B testing and iterative experimentation to improve response accuracy, tone, and relevance.
- Collaborate with data scientists and software engineers to integrate prompt logic into production APIs.
- Analyze model outputs to identify biases, hallucinations, or edge cases, and implement mitigation strategies.
- Develop and maintain a library of best-practice prompt templates and system instructions.
- Train internal teams on effective prompt engineering techniques and AI tool usage.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Linguistics, English, or a related field (or equivalent practical experience).
- Proven experience in prompt engineering, LLM fine-tuning, or Natural Language Processing (NLP).
- Deep understanding of generative AI models such as GPT-4, Claude, or similar architectures.
- Exceptional command of the English language with a focus on nuance, tone, and structure.
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to debug complex AI behaviors.
- Self-starter mentality with the ability to manage multiple projects in a fast-paced environment.
