Responsibilities
- Install, configure, and maintain LAN/WAN networks including routers, switches, and firewalls
- Monitor network performance and troubleshoot connectivity issues using diagnostic tools
- Implement security protocols to protect against cyber threats and unauthorized access
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure network reliability and scalability
- Document network configurations, changes, and maintenance procedures
- Provide technical support and training to end-users on network best practices
- Stay current with emerging technologies and industry standards
Qualifications
- Associate degree in IT or related field (or equivalent experience)
- 3+ years of hands-on network administration experience
- CCNA or CompTIA Network+ certification required
- Proficiency with Cisco devices and network protocols (TCP/IP, BGP, OSPF)
- Strong knowledge of Windows Server and Active Directory
- Experience with network monitoring tools (SolarWinds, Nagios)
- Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving abilities
- Valid Texas driver's license for occasional on-site visits
