Responsibilities
- Install, configure, and maintain LAN/WAN hardware including routers, switches, and firewalls
- Monitor network performance using diagnostic tools and proactively resolve connectivity issues
- Document network topology, configurations, and security protocols
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to implement network upgrades and security patches
- Provide Tier-2/3 technical support for network-related incidents
- Ensure compliance with industry standards (NIST, ISO 27001)
- Train end-users on network security best practices
Qualifications
- Associate's degree in IT or related field (Bachelor's preferred)
- 3+ years of hands-on network administration experience
- Certification in Cisco (CCNA) or CompTIA Network+
- Proficiency with network monitoring tools (SolarWinds, PRTG)
- Strong knowledge of TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, and VPN technologies
- Experience with cloud networking (AWS/Azure) a plus
- Excellent problem-solving and communication skills
- Valid NY driver's license for occasional client site visits
