Responsibilities
- Install, configure, and maintain network hardware including routers, switches, and firewalls
- Monitor network performance using tools like SolarWinds and Wireshark
- Troubleshoot connectivity issues and implement security protocols
- Document network configurations and create technical documentation
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams on IT infrastructure projects
- Provide Tier 2/3 support for network-related user issues
- Ensure compliance with industry standards (NIST, HIPAA)
Qualifications
- Associate degree in Network Engineering or IT certification (CompTIA Network+, CCNA)
- 3+ years of hands-on network administration experience
- Proficiency in TCP/IP, VPN, and wireless networking
- Strong diagnostic skills with network analyzers
- Experience with Cisco, Juniper, or Fortinet equipment
- Knowledge of cloud networking (AWS/Azure) a plus
- Ability to lift 50 lbs and work in server environments
- Valid Alaska driver's license for occasional site visits
