Responsibilities
- Install, configure, and maintain LAN/WAN hardware including routers, switches, and firewalls
- Monitor network performance using tools like SolarWinds and resolve connectivity issues
- Implement security protocols (VPNs, firewalls, intrusion detection) to protect data integrity
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support cloud infrastructure (AWS/Azure)
- Document network configurations, procedures, and incident reports
- Perform network upgrades and migrations with minimal downtime
- Train users on network best practices and security protocols
Qualifications
- Associate's degree in IT or related field (or equivalent experience)
- 3+ years of hands-on network administration experience
- CompTIA Network+ or Cisco CCNA certification required
- Proficiency in Cisco, Juniper, and Fortinet technologies
- Strong understanding of TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, and VPN protocols
- Experience with network monitoring tools (e.g., Wireshark, Nagios)
- Excellent problem-solving and communication skills
- Ability to work flexible hours including occasional on-call duties
