Responsibilities
- Install, configure, and maintain network hardware including routers, switches, and firewalls
- Monitor network performance and security using advanced tools like SolarWinds and Wireshark
- Resolve complex network outages with minimal downtime using diagnostic methodologies
- Implement VLANs, VPNs, and wireless network solutions for multi-site connectivity
- Document network changes and maintain accurate configuration management records
- Collaborate with cybersecurity teams to implement threat prevention protocols
- Train end-users on network best practices and security awareness
Qualifications
- Associate's degree in Network Administration or related field (Bachelor's preferred)
- 3+ years of hands-on experience with Cisco/Juniper network equipment
- CompTIA Network+ or CCNA certification required
- Proficiency in TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, and routing protocols (OSPF, BGP)
- Experience with network automation tools (Ansible, Python)
- Strong analytical skills for troubleshooting complex network issues
- Excellent communication abilities for cross-departmental collaboration
- Valid California driver's license for occasional site visits
