Responsibilities
- Install, configure, and maintain network hardware including routers, switches, and firewalls
- Diagnose and resolve network issues using industry-standard tools and protocols
- Implement security measures to protect network integrity and data
- Document network configurations and create technical documentation
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support network infrastructure projects
- Monitor network performance and optimize for efficiency
- Provide end-user support for network connectivity problems
Qualifications
- Associate degree in IT or related field (or equivalent experience)
- 3+ years of hands-on network administration experience
- CCNA certification or equivalent vendor credentials
- Proficiency in Cisco, Juniper, and Fortinet equipment
- Strong knowledge of TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, and VPN technologies
- Experience with network monitoring tools (SolarWinds, PRTG)
- Ability to troubleshoot complex network issues independently
- Valid California driver's license (for occasional site visits)
