Responsibilities
- Network Installation & Maintenance: Install, configure, and troubleshoot local area networks (LAN), wide area networks (WAN), and wireless networks.
- Hardware Management: Manage routers, switches, firewalls, and other network hardware to ensure optimal performance.
- Technical Support: Provide Tier 2 support for network-related issues, including connectivity problems and security breaches.
- Documentation: Maintain accurate records of network configurations, changes, and inventory.
- Cabling: Perform physical cabling tasks, including fiber and copper termination, to ensure reliable connections.
- Security Compliance: Implement and monitor security protocols to protect data integrity and network safety.
Qualifications
- Education: Associate degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field (or equivalent work experience).
- Certifications: Cisco Certified Network Associate (CCNA) or equivalent is highly preferred.
- Experience: Minimum of 2-3 years of hands-on experience in network administration or IT support.
- Technical Skills: Proficiency in TCP/IP, subnetting, routing protocols (OSPF, BGP), and network troubleshooting.
- Physical Requirements: Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and work in various environments, including crawl spaces and elevated areas.
- Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to explain complex technical concepts to non-technical staff.
