Responsibilities
- Install, configure, and troubleshoot Cisco/Juniper network hardware (routers, switches, firewalls)
- Monitor network performance using SolarWinds/NPM and proactively resolve outages
- Implement security protocols including VPNs, ACLs, and intrusion detection systems
- Document network topology, configurations, and incident reports in ServiceNow
- Collaborate with cloud teams to hybrid-connect on-premise Azure/AWS environments
- Perform capacity planning and network optimization for 500+ endpoints
- Lead network upgrade projects including Wi-Fi 6E deployments
Qualifications
- 3+ years enterprise network administration experience
- CCNP/JNCIP certification required (CCIE/JNCIE preferred)
- Expertise in BGP, OSPF, VLANs, and QoS implementation
- Hands-on experience with Palo Alto/Cisco ASA firewalls
- Proficiency in Python/Ansible for automation tasks
- Strong knowledge of TCP/IP and OSI model
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field
- Valid Texas driver's license for occasional site visits
