Responsibilities
- Install, configure, and maintain network hardware including routers, switches, and firewalls
- Monitor network performance using diagnostic tools and optimize for security/reliability
- Troubleshoot network issues, resolve outages, and implement preventive measures
- Document network configurations, changes, and SOPs for team continuity
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support business objectives
- Ensure compliance with network security protocols and industry standards
- Provide Tier 2/3 technical support for complex network-related incidents
Qualifications
- Associate's degree in IT/Network Engineering or equivalent experience (3+ years)
- CompTIA Network+ or CCNA certification required
- Proficiency in Cisco/Juniper hardware and network protocols (TCP/IP, DNS, VLANs)
- Experience with network monitoring tools (SolarWinds, Nagios)
- Strong troubleshooting skills with OSI model understanding
- Knowledge of cloud networking (AWS/Azure) and SD-WAN technologies
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
- Valid Florida driver's license for occasional site visits
