Responsibilities
- Install, configure, and troubleshoot network hardware including routers, switches, and firewalls
- Monitor network performance using diagnostic tools and optimize bandwidth allocation
- Document network configurations, changes, and maintenance activities
- Provide Tier 2/3 technical support for network-related issues
- Implement security protocols to protect network infrastructure
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams on IT projects
Qualifications
- Associate degree in IT or equivalent certification (CompTIA Network+, CCNA)
- 3+ years of hands-on network administration experience
- Proficiency in network protocols: TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, VPN
- Familiarity with Cisco, Juniper, or Fortinet equipment
- Strong troubleshooting skills with network analyzers
- Excellent written and verbal communication abilities
- Valid Virginia driver's license for occasional on-site visits
