Responsibilities
- Install, configure, and maintain enterprise-grade network hardware including Cisco/Juniper routers, switches, and firewalls
- Monitor network performance using tools like SolarWinds and PRTG, proactively identifying and resolving bottlenecks
- Implement network security protocols including VPNs, VLANs, and intrusion detection systems
- Document network topology changes, IP assignments, and maintenance procedures in ServiceNow
- Collaborate with cloud teams to hybridize on-premise infrastructure with AWS/Azure environments
- Lead network upgrade projects from planning through implementation and user training
- Provide Tier 3 support for complex network issues requiring deep packet analysis
Qualifications
- Associate's degree in Network Engineering or 4+ years equivalent hands-on experience
- Cisco CCNA/Juniper JNCIA certification required; CCNP/JNCIP preferred
- Expert knowledge of TCP/IP, BGP, OSPF, and enterprise switching protocols
- Proficiency in network automation with Python or Ansible
- Experience with SD-WAN solutions (Cisco Viptela, VMware SD-WAN)
- Strong troubleshooting skills using Wireshark, ping, and traceroute utilities
- Ability to lift 50lbs for equipment installation and work flexible on-call rotation
