Responsibilities
- Develop and Maintain: Assist in the development and maintenance of core software components for our equity options execution engines.
- Data Pipelines: Help design and implement data pipelines for real-time ingestion of market data and trade feeds.
- Collaboration: Work closely with the quantitative research team to translate complex mathematical models into executable code.
- Optimization: Identify and resolve performance bottlenecks in existing systems to ensure low-latency execution.
- Code Quality: Write clean, efficient, and well-documented code while adhering to Agile and software development best practices.
- Testing: Participate in the QA process to ensure system stability and accuracy in high-volume trading scenarios.
Qualifications
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Mathematics, or a related technical field.
- Programming: Proficiency in at least one primary programming language (Python, Java, C++, or C#).
- Foundations: Strong understanding of data structures, algorithms, and computer architecture.
- Interest in Finance: Eagerness to learn about financial derivatives, options pricing models, and the stock market.
- Problem Solving: Demonstrated ability to troubleshoot complex issues and think critically under pressure.
- Tools: Familiarity with SQL, Linux environments, and version control systems (Git).
- Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills for cross-functional team collaboration.
